Braid
About: Braid is an award-winning puzzle-platformer that immerses players in a sparkly watercolor world where time is a malleable entity and the terms “before” and “after” become interchangeable. As you jump, climb, and waddle your way through the levels on your journey to rescue an abducted princess you’ll be introduced to an entirely new way of thinking and problem solving.

About: Windosill is one of those quirky, and sometimes really confusing puzzle-adventure games where in each level your objective is to unlock a door, exit one bizarre room, enter another even more bizarre room, and repeat. It’s a problem solving mini-game full of exploration and adorable artwork, and best of all you can play a couple levels of it for free at www.windosill.com.

AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA! - A Reckless Disregard for Gravity
About: If you have anything more than a mild/average fear of heights, you might not enjoy this game. AaaaaAAaaa is an SSX-esque sports game that consists solely of falling, and falling for mile upon mile while trying not to clip any buildings in the process (lest you break "all two of your legs"). You're awarded teeth (points) depending on how many buildings you "hug" during your descent, plus bonus teeth for waving to your fans and flipping off people who are protesting you.

Darwinia (Writer's Pick!)
About: This game is awesome.
Darwinia is a simple strategic battle game set in a pixely retro world, styled in a way that's reminiscent of the beginnings of PC gaming. It incorporates organizing your soldiers and engineers, and most importantly coordinating a safe passage for the adorable little 2-dimensional green race know as the Darwinians. It's a bit less casual than these other games, and in order to play you'll need to listen to the tutorial, but once you know the basics, the rest comes intuitively.
